Lecturer / Senior Lecturer-FBA Ref2026/ESW/FBA/LSL01

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Masters in Accounting & Finance
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in higher education institutions
  3. Any professional Certifications will be an added advantage

Job Responsibilities

  1. Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate learning in Accounting & Finance modules in line with university standards
  2. Develop lecture notes, lesson plans, and teaching materials aligned to module outcomes in Accounting, Finance, and related disciplines
  3. Design, administer, mark, and moderate assessments including assignments, tests, and examinations
  4. Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student academic development and performance improvement
  5. Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and industry-based attachments where applicable
  6. Provide academic mentorship, guidance, and support to students in Accounting and Finance programmes
  7. Monitor student attendance, academic progress, and maintain accurate academic records
  8. Contribute to curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement of Accounting & Finance programmes
  9. Participate in programme benchmarking and quality assurance processes to ensure academic relevance and standards
  10. Engage in research activities, including individual and collaborative studies in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  11. Publish research outputs and participate in academic conferences, seminars, and workshops
  12. Integrate current financial and accounting industry practices and research into teaching and learning
  13. Engage with industry stakeholders to enhance curriculum relevance and graduate employability
  14. Participate in community engagement initiatives and continuous professional development activities
  15. Attend departmental and faculty meetings and perform other academic duties as assigned
  16. Ability to deliver results and meet deadlines

Skills and Competencies required for the job:

  1. Critical and analytical skills
  2. Problem solving skills
  3. Command of English Language
  4. Good interpersonal skills
