Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HR
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate debtor records and student/customer accounts at all times.
- Monitor and follow up on outstanding payments through calls, emails, and formal correspondence.
- Prepare debtor ageing reports and reconcile debtor accounts to ensure accuracy of records.
- Ensure timely collection of fees and all other receivables.
- Manage and maintain petty cash in line with institutional policies and procedures.
- Prepare petty cash reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly supported and approved.
- Source quotations from suppliers and coordinate procurement activities in compliance with procurement procedures.
- Prepare purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and maintain procurement records and filing systems.
- Maintain accurate financial records, documentation, and finance filing systems.
- Assist in the preparation of finance reports, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare and process monthly payroll accurately and within stipulated timelines.
- Maintain payroll records, leave records, statutory deductions, and related documentation.
- Coordinate staff performance appraisal processes and maintain performance management records.
- Coordinate staff training, development programmes, and wellness initiatives.
- Liaise with immigration authorities regarding work permits, visas, and renewals for expatriate staff.
- Monitor permit expiry dates and ensure timely renewals in compliance with the laws of Eswatini.
- Ensure compliance with institutional HR policies and the Employment Act of Eswatini.
- Maintain employee records and support recruitment, onboarding, and staff orientation processes.
- Assist in disciplinary, grievance, and employee relations matters.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial, payroll, and employee information always.
Skills and Competencies required for the job:
- Skills to understand and quickly adapt to accounting packages
- Excellent record keeping skills using various tools
- Conversant with Eswatini Labour Law
- Excellent people management skills
- Good numerical and analytical skills
- Good customer relations/care and emotional intelligence skills.
- Good with MS Office and/or Google apps tools
- Excellent negotiation and listening skills
- Competent in HR portfolios
