Qualifications & Experience

1. Masters in Networking/Cyber Security
2. Minimum of 3 years’ teaching experience in higher education institutions
3. Certifications in CISCO or Cyber Security will be an added advantage

Job Responsibilities

1. Deliver high-quality lectures and facilitate learning in Networking and Cyber Security modules in line with university standards
2. Develop lecture notes, lesson plans, practical lab exercises, and teaching materials aligned to module outcomes in Networking, Cyber Security, and related IT fields
3. Design, administer, mark, and moderate assessments including tests, assignments, practical labs, and examinations
4. Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student academic development and technical competence
5. Supervise student research projects, capstone projects, and industry-based attachments/internships in Networking and Cyber Security
6. Provide academic mentorship, guidance, and support to students on technical and academic matters
7. Monitor student attendance, performance, and academic progress, maintaining accurate records
8. Contribute to curriculum development, review, and enhancement of Networking and Cyber Security programmes
9. Participate in programme benchmarking and quality assurance processes to ensure industry relevance and academic standards
10. Integrate current technologies, tools, and cybersecurity trends into teaching and practical training
11. Engage in research in Networking, Cyber Security, or related ICT fields and contribute to scholarly publications and conferences
12. Apply research findings and emerging industry practices to enhance teaching and learning delivery
13. Engage with industry stakeholders to ensure curriculum remains aligned with evolving cyber threats and networking technologies
14. Participate in community engagement initiatives related to digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness, and ICT development
15. Undertake continuous professional development to maintain up-to-date technical and academic expertise
16. Participate in departmental, faculty, and institutional meetings and perform other duties as assigned
