MSF actions are guided by medical ethics and the principles of neutrality, impartiality and independence.

MSF is recruiting a Purchasing Officer for its Warehouse in Matsapha.

Main Purposes

  • Overseeing the invoice tracking database, which includes entering new invoices and updating approval statuses.
  • Coordinating with the finance department to follow up on payments and providing suppliers with proof of payment.
  • Consistently organizing and archiving purchase files in the appropriate binders, following MSF procedures.
  • Monitoring the approval procedure for purchase orders and ensuring timely approvals are obtained.
  • Replacing the line manager in managing the weekly order follow-up tool and distributing it to relevant stakeholders.
  • Acting on behalf of the line manager to compile the comparative bid analysis for high-value purchases, in alignment with MSF engagement of expenditure requirements.

Requirements (Position Specific)

Education

  • College diploma in business administration, procurement, commerce or economics.

Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in purchasing.

Language

  • Fluent in English and siSwati (both spoken and written).
  • Other regional languages are an added advantage.

  • Results and quality oriented.

  • Teamwork and cooperation.
  • Behavioral flexibility.

Additional Requirement

  • Commitment to MSF principles of impartiality, independence and neutrality.
