POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a dedicated, compassionate and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team in providing excellent patient care through safe and accurate specimen collection.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform venous and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages.
• Correctly identify patients and label specimens according to laboratory procedures.
• Ensure proper specimen handling, storage and transportation.
• Prepare patients for specimen collection and explain procedures professionally.
• Maintain infection prevention and control practices at all times.
• Accurately complete laboratory documentation and patient records.
• Work closely with laboratory staff and clinicians to ensure timely service delivery.
• Adhere to the laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) and safety policies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Certificate or Diploma in Phlebotomy or equivalent qualification.
• Registered with the Eswatini Medical & Dental Council (EMDC).
• At least 2 years’ experience in a clinical or diagnostic laboratory setting (added advantage).
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Computer literacy.
• Knowledge of laboratory quality systems and patient confidentiality.
