Job Overview
Reporting to the Senior Business Development Officer, the incumbent will be part of the Sales & Distribution Department. The role focuses on building a strong client pipeline and proactively engaging clients to achieve sales targets by marketing a full spectrum of corporate products (risk and investment).
Key Responsibilities
Sales
- Achieve business unit sales targets and contribute to market share growth
- Review client portfolios and recommend suitable product enhancements
- Provide alternative solutions and ensure cross-selling of products
- Conduct presentations to clients
Data Collection and Analysis
- Conduct research using primary data sources
- Analyze key themes and trends to support decision-making
- Stay updated on industry trends to align products with client needs
Information and Business Advice
- Provide specialist advice on policies and procedures
- Resolve client queries and issues effectively
Insights and Reporting
- Prepare and coordinate data and analytical reports
Customer Relationship Management / Account Management
- Manage and retain existing client portfolios
- Deliver superior customer service and resolve concerns promptly
- Build and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders
- Develop and implement relationship management plans
- Gather and analyze client feedback to improve service delivery
Financial Advice
- Provide financial advice aligned with client goals and values
Operational Compliance
- Ensure compliance with pension fund rules, legislation, and internal policies
- Monitor and report non-compliance issues where necessary
Personal Capability Building
- Participate in training and development initiatives
- Maintain professional accreditation where applicable
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulations, and best practices
