URGENT VACANCIES

JOB OPPORTUNITIES: WORKSHOP & SITE TECHNICAL ROLES

Stefanutti Stocks Construction Eswatini (Pty) Ltd is seeking disciplined, safety-conscious, and highly skilled technical professionals to join our team. Applications are invited for the following positions:


1. SITE-BASED TYRE MAN

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies

  • Minimum 3–5 years’ experience as a Tyre Fitter, specifically with Heavy Plant Equipment in a construction or mining environment

  • Valid Tyre Specialist / Fitter Certificate (TETA-accredited or similar)

  • Driver’s License with a valid Public Driving Permit is highly advantageous

  • Proficiency in English and Siswati

  • Skilled in using hydraulic pumps, impact wrenches, and specialized OTR jacking equipment

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Removing, repairing, and fitting tyres, including specialized Off-the-Road (OTR) tyres

  • Conducting routine inspections and maintaining pressure monitoring schedules

  • Attending breakdowns in active construction zones

  • Performing tyre regrooving and asset branding

  • Managing tyre stock levels and scrap piles

  • Strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations


2. BOILERMAKER / WELDER

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in welding and boilermaking

  • Trade Certificate, Diploma, or relevant qualification

  • Full professional fluency in English and Siswati

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Ability to use digital devices for site sign-ins and job cards

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems

  • Understanding of Hot Work hazards and risk assessments

  • Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Fabricate and install structural steel on construction sites

  • Perform CO₂ (MIG) and Flux-Core welding on heavy-duty structures

  • Assist with slinging and positioning steel sections using cranes and hoists

  • Apply primer and spray paint to prevent corrosion

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment

  • Strict compliance with Hot Work, Working at Heights, and HSE regulations


3. WORKSHOP FOREMAN / SUPERVISOR

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies

  • Degree in Heavy Duty Mechanics, N6, or equivalent with Trade Certificate

  • Valid Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License

  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ technical workshop experience

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management Systems

  • Proven organizational and administrative skills

  • Ability to work independently and under pressure

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide technical direction and troubleshooting guidance

  • Oversee servicing and repair of vehicles

  • Plan daily workshop activities and monitor Work in Progress (WIP)

  • Supervise parts, stock levels, and daily banking

  • Conduct vehicle test drives

  • Ensure customer requirements are met and maintain strong client relationships


4. HEAVY PLANT MECHANIC ASSISTANT

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies

  • Diploma in Heavy Plant Mechanic from Eswatini College of Technology (ECOT)

  • Minimum of three (3) years’ post-trade experience in heavy construction equipment

  • Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems

  • Valid Heavy Duty Driver’s License

  • Computer literacy for diagnostics and reporting

  • Strong communication skills

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic diagnostics and repairs

  • Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance

  • Troubleshoot breakdowns and carry out emergency repairs

  • Maintain service records, job cards, and technical reports

  • Strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations


5. HEAVY PLANT APPRENTICES (X2)

Qualifications, Experience, and Competencies

  • Heavy Plant Mechanics qualification from ECOT

  • Entry-level position (internship or practical experience is advantageous)

  • Basic understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical principles

  • Awareness of quality management and safety standards

  • Valid Driver’s License (Heavy Duty license is an advantage)

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with qualified mechanics

  • Assist with servicing and preventative maintenance

  • Help troubleshoot breakdowns and emergency repairs

  • Follow all HSE regulations to ensure a safe working environment
