Sports Coach

Ubombo Primary School, a premier independent school in the Eswatini Lowveld, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Sports Coach to join our dynamic extramural team. We pride ourselves on fostering a love for sports in a nurturing, high-performance environment.

THE ROLE

• The successful candidate will support our Head Coach and staff in delivering high-quality training and fostering a positive team culture for our learners.

Responsibilities

• Skill Development: Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction to improve technical and tactical abilities.
• Session Support: Assist in planning, setting up equipment, and executing engaging practice sessions.
• Mentorship: Model positive attitudes, fair play, and good sportsmanship to inspire young athletes.
• Safety & Logistics: Ensure a safe environment, manage sports equipment, and coordinate logistics for inter-school fixtures.

Requirements

We are looking for a coach who can competently lead at least three of the following sports:

• Swimming (Essential: Experience with water safety and stroke technique).
• Cricket
• Athletics (Track & Field events)
• Cross Country
• Soccer
• Nedball

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience in sports coaching at primary school level.
• Recognized coaching certifications are highly advantageous.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
