VACANCY: SENIOR MAGISTRATE
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for appointment to fill the vacant position tenable in the Judiciary.
QUALIFICATIONS

The Candidate must be a Swazi National and be a holder of a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from a reputable institution plus admission as an Attorney of the High Court of Swaziland;

The candidate must be of good character, high personal integrity, high leadership qualities and be hard working.

The candidate must be an admitted attorney.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

To preside over court proceedings, and perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Justice through the Principal Magistrate.

Responsible to Principal Magistrate for the provision of support and advice on the progress of day to day business of the courts as well as supervision of Court Clerks/Interpreters.
SALARY
The basic salary is on Grade E4.
A retention allowance is also payable to an officer who is admitted to practice Law in Eswatini.
SUPERANNUATION
The successful candidate will become a member of the Public Service Pension Fund after completing an initial probationary service of six (6) months. Applications must be accompanied by the candidate’s Curriculum Vitae and certified copies of the required qualification. Candidates who do not possess the above qualifications should not apply as their applications will not be considered.
