Ubombo Primary School (UPS), a member of the Ubombo Schools Trust and located in Big Bend, Eswatini, offers innovative and forward-looking education to learners from Grade 000 to Grade 7. The school seeks to appoint an experienced, dynamic, and inspirational individual to join its talented team in the position of:

Principal

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Partner with key stakeholders in the review of the strategic plan.

• Operationalise the strategic plan through engagement, delegation, and accountability.

• Lead and inspire the team to achieve higher performance standards.

• Represent the school by fulfilling its social, ceremonial, and legal responsibilities.

• Champion the transformation journey, ensuring that the Ubombo Primary School experience is positive and enriching for all.

• Engage meaningfully and strategically with statutory bodies, the School Governing Board, staff members, parents, and students.

• Maintain a contemporary academic and cultural curriculum, supported by a clear teaching and learning philosophy and an explicit strategy.

• Ensure that a safe, caring, and family-like environment is created and sustained within the school.

• Be accountable for the school’s financial management and long-term sustainability.

• Provide oversight of the management and development of the school’s infrastructure.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Education and/or a Postgraduate Certificate in Education.

• A Master’s degree in Education, Leadership, or Administration.

• A minimum of 10 years’ teaching experience.

• A proven track record of delivering consistent quality service in a school leadership position as a Principal or Deputy Principal.
