LECTURER (PART TIME) – INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS LAW


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

• Master’s degree in Law (LLM) with specialization in International Business Law, Commercial Law, International Trade Law, or a related field.
• Verified qualification by the Eswatini Qualifications Authority (EQA).


RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 2 years industry work experience.
• Demonstrated ability to teach at university level.
• Sound knowledge of international legal frameworks affecting business (e.g. WTO, international contracts, trade regulations).


JOB SPECIFICATIONS

As a lecturer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Deliver undergraduate module of International Business Law.
• Prepare and update course outlines, lesson plans, and teaching materials in line with approved curriculum.
• Employ innovative, student-centered teaching methodologies, including case studies and problem-based learning.
• Assess students fairly and consistently, ensuring timely marking and constructive feedback.
• Maintain consultation hours to provide academic guidance and student support.
• Participate in the development, review, and alignment of curricula with ESCHER requirements and international best practices.
• Ensure teaching and assessment comply with institutional academic regulations and quality assurance standards.
• Engage in scholarly research in areas related to International Business Law, such as international trade law, commercial arbitration, corporate governance, or investment law.
• Establish and maintain links with industry, legal practitioners, regulators, and professional bodies.
• Integrate practical and contemporary legal issues into teaching.
• Participate in departmental, faculty, and university committees as required.
• Maintain accurate academic records and comply with reporting requirements.
• Uphold the values, policies, and strategic objectives of the University.
