PRODUCT AND SERVICES CONSULTANT
Purpose of the Position:
To assist clients in planning and booking travel products and services offered by RETA. The Consultant will use their knowledge of destinations, travel, and client preferences to craft memorable travel experiences. This role includes implementing the ‘go to market’ strategy, product distribution by providing expert advice and ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the entire travel process. The Consultant works closely with suppliers, internal teams, sales channels to ensure successful product delivery and client satisfaction.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Product and Services
-
Consult with clients to determine their travel needs, preferences and budget.

Offer expert advice on travel destinations.

Plan and organize flight itineraries.
-
Use booking systems to make reservations and issue travel tickets, voucher for packages.

Handle ticket changes, cancellations and rebooking’s as required.

Provide up-to-date travel information, including safety regulations, health requirements and travel advisories.
Operational Systems
-
Contribute to the development of a standard operating procedure manual.
Planning
-
Plan individual day-to-day work schedule.
-
Assist in the development and maintenance of travel packages and tours and services.
Monitoring and Evaluation
-
Monitor the performance of products (sales, feedback, profitability) and suggest improvements.

Assit in building and monitoring strong supplier relationships and participate in contract negotiations.
Customer Service
-
Maintain client records and build lasting customer relationships.

Resolve customer complaints and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
Budgeting
-
Contribute to the compilation of the divisional budget and submit to management for consolidation with other divisions, for onward Board approval.
Reporting
-
Production of product and services offerings to Senior Product and Services Consultant.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field from a recognized institution.
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years work experience, 2 years of which should been in a travel industry.
-
B. Tech or Degree in Tourism Management as an added advantage.
