PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Reporting to the Senior Manager Supply Chain & Logistics, the key responsibilities will include, inter alia:

• To effectively manage the procurement of required goods and services.

• To provide expert advice in terms of supply chain management and purchasing and tendering procedures.

• To ensure effective selection of service providers (vendors) and management of supplier relationships.

• To develop procurement risk management strategies and manage procurement risks; ensuring compliance to processes and procedures, supply contracts and agreements.

• To manage and control procurement activities and costs; implementing procurement techniques and strategies that secure quality goods and services at minimal costs.

• To ensure all EPTC procurement is in line with Procurement Act of 2011 and EPTC Procurement Policy.

• To train, develop and effectively manage the procurement team.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate must possess the following attributes:

• A Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Supply Chain Management

• A relevant Post Graduate qualification

• A CIPS qualification will be an added advantage

• A Minimum of 5 years working experience in Purchasing or Procurement at supervisory or management level
