People Leader

Nhlangano, Shiselweni, Eswatini

At Jonsson Workwear, everything we do is guided by our purpose: equipping hard workers everywhere with the gear they need to perform at their peak. That purpose is powered by our collective commitment to excellence – in our products, in our service and in building a work environment where our people feel supported and inspired to bring their best every day.

Our commitment to excellence comes to life through our Leaders across the business who lead their teams with purpose and authentic passion. At our new factory in Eswatini, we are looking for a People Leader to help keep that momentum going. In this role, you will support our operational leaders in creating a united, energised and empowered workforce.

With your hands-on support, clear communication and practical, people-first guidance, you will contribute to creating a purposeful work environment where excellence is an inevitable outcome. As a trusted and steady presence for both our hardworking teams and their team Leaders, you will be the custodian of culture for our Eswatini factory, shaping a team that aligns with our Jonsson Workwear values.

The influential and integrity-driven people’s person best suited to this role will:

  • Support and guide all people-related activities, including recruitment, onboarding, facilitating committee meetings and driving community projects, with a people-first approach.
  • Have a solid understanding of Eswatini labour laws and workplace regulations, ensuring all people-related practices are fair and compliant.
  • Take a hands-on role in communication, confidently leading important conversations with clarity, sensitivity and respect.
  • Lead with empathy and encouragement, creating a positive working environment with teams that live up to our values.
  • Build authentic, unbiased connections with everyone on your team, at every level, acting as a trusted, neutral sounding board for all.
  • Uplift and inspire others through your natural influence, fairness and integrity.
  • Simplify complex information and communicate clearly, providing reassurance and guidance in the face of change within the business.
  • Use your strong local knowledge and community relationships to build and maintain a strong connection between Jonsson Workwear and the Eswatini community.

In line with Jonsson Workwear’s commitment to employment equity, applications from candidates from designated groups, as well as candidates with disabilities, are encouraged.

Motivation comes and goes. Some days we feel inspired and focused, and on other days we feel tired, discouraged or overwhelmed.
