PASSENGER HANDLING AGENT
Purpose of the Position
The incumbent ensures efficient, safe, and customer-focused services for airline passengers throughout their airport journey. The role covers check-in, boarding, arrival assistance, and customer care, ensuring compliance with airline, airport, and regulatory standards.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Check-In and Departure Services

Process passenger check-ins, verify travel documents, issue boarding passes, and tag baggage.

Ensure compliance with airline baggage policies, security requirements, and immigration rules.

Handle special service requests such as unaccompanied minors, PRM passengers, VIPs, etc.

Manage denied boarding situations, flight disruptions, and rebooking when required.
Boarding Gate Operations

Coordinate boarding procedures in line with airline standards.

Make boarding announcements and provide clear communication to passengers.

Verify boarding passes and ensure correct aircraft load per manifest.
Arrival and Transfer Services

Assist passengers during arrivals, including baggage claims, transit procedures, and lost luggage reporting.

Coordinate with baggage services and customs officials where needed.
Customer Service and Support

Deliver professional and courteous customer service at all times.

Provide information on flight schedules, delays, airport facilities, and travel guidelines.

Resolve passenger complaints and escalate complex issues to supervisors.
Safety, Compliance and Administration

Follow airport safety protocols, security procedures, and airline operational guidelines.

Prepare required documentation such as flight manifests, reports, and logs.

Participate in regular training on security, customer service, and airline systems.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Diploma in Aviation Management or Transport and Logistics or Tourism or Business Administration, with experience in an all-round airport handling operation

Airside Safety Training

IATA Dangerous Goods Awareness Training
-
Aviation Safety Awareness Training
Experience
-
At least 1–3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role with a reputable airline or ground handling company
-
Airport operations experience
