MANAGER INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
We invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the Manager Information Technology role within the Corporate Services Department.
Reporting to the General Manager Corporate Services, the Manager Information Technology is responsible for delivering the organization’s ICT infrastructure, including networking, designing, installation, configuration, support and maintenance of hardware, operating systems enterprise service management tools, and the core IT Delivery and support systems. To ensure that the development, design, operation and improvement of the business systems are aligned with the organization’s strategy, are in conformance with all regulatory requirements and are provided at an effective cost.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and management of the Information Technology departmental budget and ensure that its expenditure remains within the approved budget.
- Coordinate resources and capital budgeting in accordance with business needs and departmental and treasury requirements.
- Direct the development, delivery and successful achievement of an agile ICT Strategy.
- Lead the development and ensure enforcement of policies and procedures, and regulatory requirements for the protection of information technology assets and the integrity, security and privacy of information entrusted to and/or maintained by the Authority.
- Lead the development and maintenance of an enterprise-wide business recovery plan to ensure timely and effective restoration of information technology services in the event of a disaster.
- Monitor and ensure IT systems operate according to internal standards, external accrediting organization standards and legal requirements.
- Develop and manage business intelligence solutions for the Authority.
- Oversee ICT governance and implement strategies to meet digitalization objectives and monitor process reengineering and automation through improved ICT systems.
- Participate in the selection and contract negotiations of consultants and service providers for the provision of IT equipment and services.
- Analyse business requirements and processes and recommending them to the management and executives for implementation.
- Communicate IT governance initiatives, progress, and challenges to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Manage the overall administration of the day-to-day operations of the department.
Required Qualifications and Key Competencies
- A Post Graduate Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Five (5) years’ experience within financial industry regulation, of which three (3) years should have been served in a supervisory capacity.
- Understanding of Cloud Computing and Virtualization Technologies (e.g. VMware, Citrix, and Hyper-V, etc.)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and practices.
- A relevant professional certification (e.g. CCNP/CCIE, CISM)
- Knowledge of IT Governance & Management, Project Management and Information Security e.g. COBIT, ITIL, PMBOK, ISMS, TOGAF, ISO 27001, etc.
- Sound risk management, analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
- Must have a customer focused and courteous helpful approach.
- Strong efficiency and punctuality.
- Organizational, prioritizing and multitasking skills.
- High standards of ethical conduct.
