VACANCY:

HEALTH & FOOD SAFETY OFFICER

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance with local public health and food safety laws

• Conduct quality, health, and safety audits

• Manage food safety and quality management systems

• Facilitate staff training on health, safety, and hygiene standards

• Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions

• Prepare and submit detailed reports

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health & Food Science

• 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within a food production industry or public health environment

• Professional certification in HACCP, ISO 9001 / 22000

• SAMTRAC or NEBOSH (added advantage)

• Strong knowledge of local public health legislation

• Excellent analytical, reporting, and communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
