The Woman Farmer Foundation is seeking two passionate Food Technologists to drive innovation in agricultural value addition and food systems transformation. The role will focus on developing safe, nutritious, and market-relevant food products that empower farmers, strengthen local food security, and contribute to sustainable livelihoods.

Food Technologist (2 positions)

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and produce market-relevant food products and recipes using locally available ingredients
• Ensure all food products meet safety, nutrition, and quality standards
• Support the development of information, education, and communication materials on food safety, hygiene, and handling practices
• Investigate and document lessons from any food safety incidents to strengthen future practices
• Ensure compliance with procurement and inspection standards for food purchased under project activities
• Collaborate with farmers at the Value Addition Center to promote innovation and sustainability in food processing
• Perform other related duties that contribute to the Foundation’s mission of empowering women and youth in agriculture

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition and Technology, Food Systems, or a related field
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in food technology, product development, or related fields
• Experience in FSSC Certification
• Strong knowledge of food safety, quality assurance, and nutrition standards
