FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

Eswatini Sugar invites applications from appropriately qualified professionals for the above vacant position. The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and occupies a key role in managing the financial affairs of the sugar industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• To coordinate and manage the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly estimates (quarterly revised budgets).
• To manage all aspects of the Finance Department (including ERP system and processes, information technology, fixed assets, annual audits, insurance, payroll, inventory control and other general finance and accounting functions).
• To manage the treasury function (which would include negotiating banking facilities, loans and attendant agreements and compliances).
• To control and implement the Eswatini Sugar hedging policy.
• To safeguard and monitor adherence to all contracts and agreements entered into by Eswatini Sugar with other parties.
• To perform the function of company secretary in line with the Sugar Act and Agreement.
• To take up the directorship in companies where Eswatini Sugar has an interest.

Requirements of the Job:

• A university degree coupled with a CA or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Minimum five years’ experience at senior management level in a major commercial organization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational and negotiating skills.
• Integrity, sound thinking and analytical skills.
• Availability and willingness to work outside normal office hours to meet deadlines without additional remuneration.
