We are a dynamic and growing Institution, committed to Academic excellence in the field of higher education. We value integrity, teamwork, and innovation, and we’re looking for a detail-oriented Handyman/Grounds man to join our Emergency Medical Rescue College team.


Key Responsibilities

• General Repair: Fixing plumbing issues, repairing basic electrical systems, and addressing basic carpentry needs.
• Routine Maintenance: Regularly inspecting and maintaining of the premises, checking for wear and tear, and taking preventive measures.
• Specialized Services: assembling furniture and equipment, and providing minor renovation and remodeling services.
• Tool Management: Utilizing an extensive toolkit that includes basic hand tools, power tools, plumbing tools, etc.
• Lawn and Garden Maintenance: performing regular tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, and fertilizing.
• Tree and Shrub Care: This includes pruning, watering, and pest control.
• Irrigation System Management: inspecting and repairing irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage across the grounds.
• Waste Management: Collecting debris, leaves, and trash to keep outdoor areas clean and inviting is a crucial part of the job.
• Safety Inspections: monitoring walkways, and other areas for hazards to ensure safety for all users.
• Equipment Maintenance: responsible for maintaining and operating gardening equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.


Skills and Qualifications

• Physical Fitness: The role requires physical strength and stamina for labor-intensive tasks.
• Attention to Detail: Recognizing minor issues before they escalate is essential for maintaining grounds.
• Problem-Solving Abilities: Groundsman must be able to quickly resolve unforeseen issues that arise during daily tasks.
• Technical Skills: Understanding how to operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently is crucial.


Education

The candidate must possess a high school diploma, Certifications in either plumbing, electrical or landscape management to enhance employability.
