DATA SYSTEMS MANAGER

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Data Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the development, organising, storing, and analysis of data and data systems with the utmost security and confidentiality, and in a timely manner. The role oversees the pricing, master data and analytics functions of the business.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for effective data management.

• Formulate management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data.

• Devise and implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis with attention to all technical aspects.

• Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with all levels of stakeholders, both internal and external.

• Collaborate with other departments and provide support in the daily use of data systems, ensuring adherence to legal and company standards.

• Assist with reports and data extraction when needed.

• Monitor and analyse information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.).

• Ensure accurate and effective database and software utilization.

• Create reports and develop, track and analyze all organizational KPIs.

• Develop specifications for data capture and input; monitor input to ensure consistency, quality, and integrity of data.

• Review and provide insights for the institutional data repository to cater for current as well future needs.

• Provide guidance and coaching to pricing, analytics and master data teams.

• Participate as a member of special projects teams as required.

• Perform any other duties as may be reasonably assigned.
