JOB OPPORTUNITY

DATA ANALYST

The Bank is seeking to appoint a Data Analyst to support data-driven decision-making through effective data analysis, visualisation and reporting. The role focuses on transforming raw banking data into actionable insights to support business strategy, risk management, regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect, clean and analyse data from core banking and related systems.

  • Develop interactive dashboards and management reports using Power Bl.

  • Utilise tools for data analysis, automation and advanced analytics.

  • Support Risk, Credit, and Business Units with analytical insights.

  • Identify trends, patterns and anomalies in banking data to support decision-making.

  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity and consistency across all analytical outputs.

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of data models and analytics frameworks.

  • Produce ad-hoc reports and support special analytical projects.

  • Maintain proper documentation of data sources, assumptions and methodologies.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Statistics or a related field.

  • At least three (3) years’ experience in a banking or financial services environment with working exposure to analytics.

  • Strong working knowledge of Power BI, including data modelling and DAX.

  • Good proficiency in Python for data analysis (e.g. pandas, numpy, matplotlib).

  • Sound understanding of databases and data extraction (SQL knowledge will be an added advantage).

REMUNERATION

The Bank offers a competitive market-related salary commensurate with the job.
