The National Cooperatives Federation of Eswatini (NCFE) is the highest body in the cooperative movement in the country. It is mandated to represent the interest and welfare of all types of co-operatives at all levels.
The NCFE would like to invite suitably qualified and experienced individuals to apply for the position of a Cooperative Information Technology Officer tenable in the organization. Reporting to the Manager, the IT Officer will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure by providing technical support, maintaining hardware and software systems, and managing networks. The role requires strong problem-solving skills to support end-users and manage various technical tasks from routine maintenance to complex system design.
Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support: Provide support to end users to troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network issues, including log-in issues, data entry errors and navigation assistance. Conduct training on new software and systems ensuring users have the ability to use them effectively.

System Management: Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems and applications. Test and evaluate new technology and support the roll-out of new applications.

Security and Maintenance: Perform routine system back-ups, monitor system performance, help ensure data security and protection measures are in place. Maintain user access rights and ensure proper authorization protocols. Perform routine maintenance on IT infrastructure. Monitor network systems.

Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve technical problems including replacing parts and setting up new user accounts and profiles.

Documentation: Document support tickets and maintain detailed records of incidents and solutions.

Inventory management: Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and track asset assignment.

Hardware and Software Support: Set up and support the roll-out of new applications and hardware for staff and members.

Provide IT support and training to members of the cooperative movement.

Enhance the visibility of NCFE through Website and social media updates, media promotions, newsletter design, etc.
Desired Skills

Proficiency in operating systems (e.g Windows, macOS), software applications like MS Office, hardware troubleshooting and network systems.

Ability to systematically diagnose and solve technical issues efficiently.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with users and other stakeholders.

A user focused approach to help and support others effectively.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and support requests simultaneously.

Must be initiative, a team player with exceptional interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications

Degree in related fields: Information Technology; Business Systems Engineering; Computer Networking and Hardware; Computer Science, etc.

Minimum two years relevant experience in IT support and operations

Microsoft certification such as MCSA, Windows server, Windows Operating Systems and Fundamentals, etc, would be an added advantage.

Must have basic understanding and knowledge about the cooperative business model.
