Eswatini Standards Authority (ESWASA) is a parastatal under the auspices of the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Trade. ESWASA is mandated to promote standards and quality in local industry, commerce, and the public sector and to empower the Authority to be the sole custodian of all issues regarding standards and quality in Eswatini.
On behalf of our client, Eswatini Standards Authority (ESWASA), we invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). The CCO will report to the Executive Director.
JOB PURPOSE
The Chief Commercial Officer will be responsible for leading and managing all commercial functions of ESWASA to ensure sustainable revenue growth, expansion of market share, and enhanced customer satisfaction. The role oversees sales, marketing, business development, and customer experience across ESWASA’s commercial services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and execute ESWASA’s commercial strategy, including identifying new market opportunities and setting revenue goals.

Manage the standards training, sales, testing services, and certification portfolio.

Oversee sales and marketing efforts, ensuring effective lead generation, campaign execution, and customer acquisition within ESWASA’s commercial services space.

Ensure ESWASA service offerings are aligned with market needs, competitive, and scalable.

Drive customer satisfaction, retention, and advocacy within standards training, sales, testing, and certification programs.

Manage budgets, forecast revenue, and ensure the financial health of ESWASA’s training, standards sales, and conformity assessment services business.

Lead and mentor the commercial team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.

Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, industry partners, and regulatory bodies.

Stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscapes.

Ensure productive representation of ESWASA in national and other forums as delegated by the Executive Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Master’s degree (e.g. MBA) or relevant professional certification preferred.

Exposure to certification standards application in a certified organization.

Minimum 5 years’ managerial experience in marketing and sales.
