POSITION: Artisan: Boilermaker

Location: Premier Eswatini

Division: Milling

Reports To: Manager: Maintenance

JOB PURPOSE To maintain the overall effectiveness of equipment and plant on site.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Anticipate and identify possible machine reliability problems to ensure manufacturing process continuity
• Facilitate and lead problem-solving processes; provide inputs to Maintenance Manager for continuous improvement
• Record and analyze breakdown trends per machine using a maintenance system to motivate equipment improvement or purchases
• Render support on ad hoc projects e.g. renovate and refurbish machines/installations
• Ensure compliance with Food Safety, Health Safety, and GMP requirements
• Maintain process and document controls according to SOPs
• Provide on-job coaching for Handymen and Apprentices
• Supervise, train and coach Operators on SOPs and work instructions

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Diploma in Welding and Fabrication or equivalent
• Grade 1 Test Certificate
• Argon Welding experience — added advantage
• Apprenticeship with a sound Mechanical background
• 5–7 years’ experience in relevant trade
• 5 years’ experience in an FMCG environment
• Knowledge of PLCs and pneumatics — added advantage
• Experience with High-Speed Continuous Operations

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Shift work on a rotational basis
