ACCOUNTS OFFICER

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Accounts Officer is responsible for providing financial and administrative services including the management of bank statements, reconciliation of general ledger control accounts, processing transactions in the financial management system, and management of petty cash.
Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities
- Reconciliation of bank accounts
- Management of petty Cash
- Maintenance of general ledger
- Implementation of procurement and payment policies
- Implementation of payments and other finance policies
Education and Experience
- Education: Degree in BCom /accounting
- Experience: 2 years’ experience in an accounting role preferably in a commercial environment
Key Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge of accounting system
- Reconciliations
- Very good analytical skills.
- Understanding of accounting principles
