JOB ADVERT: ACCOUNTANT
Tambuti Estates, a modern Sugar Cane, Citrus and Banana producing company situated on the Northeast of Eswatini has a vacancy for an Accountant reporting directly to the Finance Manager.
• The main purpose of this position is to provide accurate and timely management accounting services and professional advice to the company in the areas of budgeting & control, reporting, project management, cash management, financial transactions, payroll, and capex management amongst other tasks.
SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will be responsible for timely preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Will perform monthly and annual budget variance analysis to ensure company expenditure & projects are monitored.
- Will provide regular reporting and feedback on financial KPIs such as management accounts, capex reports and other.
- Will work with the Finance Manager on Finance initiatives and continuous development and improvement of process workflows and procedures.
- Perform internal control reviews on any of the company units or as directed by the Financial Manager.
- Will always be on the lookout for ways to improve current work processes or systems and will reinforce best practice.
- Track and calculate the organization’s revenues, expenses, assets, liabilities, and cash flows for each year and for other periods of time.
- Coordinate payment of all financial obligations as they fall due.
- Administer or assist in the administration of payroll for the company or organization.
- Reconcile monthly statements for bank accounts, PAYE, VAT, etc.
- Present findings and recommendations for financial performance based on examination or preparation of financial statements.
- Manage the Estate Fixed Asset Register (Assets)
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- The suitable candidate must possess at minimum, a Bachelor’s degree in financial accounting or equivalent, with 3 years’ experience in similar environment (post article).
- Studying towards the Chartered accountant profession or CIMA is an added advantage.
- Must have a good understanding of financial and management accounting and reporting environment.
- Must have an analytical acumen with good leadership skills, communication skills and interpersonal skills amongst others.
- Must have a traceable record of managerial work experience.
