CONTEXT
Do you want to be part of research that informs important decisions in Eswatini? Are you passionate about working with people and collecting accurate, high-quality data with professionalism and integrity?
The Eswatini Economic Policy Analysis and Research Centre (ESEPARC) is inviting applications from qualified, motivated and reliable individuals to join its pool of enumerators. Successful applicants will support a range of research and data collection activities undertaken by ESEPARC for government, development partners, the private sector and other stakeholders across various sectors.
Joining the ESEPARC Enumerator Pool does not guarantee immediate engagement but provides an opportunity to be considered for future assignments as projects arise. Selected enumerators will receive project-specific training before deployment and will be expected to collect high-quality data while adhering to established research protocols, ethical standards and confidentiality requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct face-to-face interviews with respondents according to the training provided and the questionnaire.
- Translate all questionnaires to respondents fluently in both Siswati and English.
- Enter all data accurately into the survey tool provided by ESEPARC.
- Ensure that data is correctly captured and cleaned to the best of their abilities and that it expresses respondents’ sentiments as per the requirements.
- Report daily to their supervisor.
- Identify and report challenges faced during data collection that could affect data quality.
- Be proactive and ensure timely completion of all work undertaken.
- Undertake any other responsibility within the scope of the survey as requested by the supervisor.
- Maintain the integrity of all data collected by ensuring that every interview and response is genuine, accurate and obtained directly from the respondent.
COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Tertiary degree qualification/certificate (qualifications in statistics, demography, research, economics, and data analysis will be beneficial).
- Relevant experience in data collection, data cleaning and analysis, surveys, and community development.
- Computer literacy.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and confidently to undertake household visits.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Teamwork.
- Good ethics, respect and honesty.
- Accountability.
