MEDICAL LEAD – INPATIENT SERVICES
The Luke Commission (TLC) Hospital | Eswatini is seeking an experienced physician to lead its inpatient medical service. This role combines hands-on patient care with clinical leadership, operational oversight, quality improvement, and service development.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide senior clinical oversight for hospitalized medical patients, including support for complex and critically ill cases.
- Lead and mentor inpatient physicians while overseeing physician scheduling, performance, and professional development.
- Maintain oversight of inpatient operations, including patient volumes, acuity, staffing, patient flow, bed utilization, and operational risks.
- Drive quality improvement, patient safety, clinical governance, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
- Promote excellent clinical documentation, coding, and billing practices to support revenue integrity.
- Identify opportunities to improve patient experience, operational efficiency, and the long-term growth and sustainability of inpatient services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Medical degree with current licensure.
- 5–10 years of post-internship clinical experience.
- Experience caring for hospitalized adult medical patients.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Specialist training in Internal Medicine or Critical Care is helpful but not required.
