VACANCY: HEAD OF SUPPORT SERVICES
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Head of Support Services.
Reporting To: Managing Director
Purpose of the Role
The Head of Support Services provides strategic and operational leadership across the organization’s core support functions: Finance, Human Capital, Information Technology, and Administration. The role ensures that the company’s internal infrastructure operates efficiently, complies with regulatory requirements, and supports overall business strategy and operational excellence.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening governance, improving systems and processes, and ensuring effective coordination across all support service functions.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership and Governance
- Develop and implement organizational policies, systems, and internal control frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with legislative, audit, and corporate governance requirements.
- Maintain clear segregation of duties and transparency across all support functions.
- Provide accurate and reliable management information for strategic decision-making.
Financial Management and Oversight
- Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, procedures, and compliance controls.
- Oversee cashbooks, debtors, creditors, payroll, and fixed asset management.
- Monitor budgets, expenditures, and financial reporting processes.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage working capital requirements.
- Liaise with financial institutions regarding financing and banking matters.
- Conduct viability assessments and cost-benefit analyses for strategic initiatives.
Human Capital Leadership
- Oversee Human Capital functions through the HC Consultant.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation and internal policies.
- Supervise payroll administration, leave management, workforce planning, and performance management systems.
- Promote a positive organizational culture, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.
Information Technology Management
- Oversee IT support services to ensure system reliability and business continuity.
- Ensure data security, network integrity, and effective user support.
- Drive technology-based process improvements and digital transformation initiatives.
Administration and Office Coordination
- Ensure compliance with company secretarial and administrative requirements.
- Oversee insurance administration and compliance matters.
- Supervise office administration, document management systems, and procurement of administrative resources.
- Ensure a safe, productive, and compliant working environment.
Reporting and Performance Monitoring
- Establish and monitor KPIs across Finance, HC, IT, and Administration functions.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports.
- Continuously evaluate departmental performance and implement improvement initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
- Chartered Accountant qualification or MBA degree
- Minimum of 8–10 years’ relevant experience in support services management
- At least 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Proven experience in financial oversight, governance implementation, and administrative leadership
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams including Finance, Human Capital, IT, and Administration
