VACANCY: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT – MANANGA SUGAR PACKERS

Mananga Sugar Packers (Pty) Ltd (MSP) is an FMCG 50/50 joint venture between RES and RCL. It packs about 120,000 tons of sugar annually in a state-of-the-art plant in Mhlume. It markets the packed sugar through major retail outlets and industrial sugar user-companies within SACU.

THE JOB

Reporting to the Financial Manager, the duties include:

• Cost Control through liaison with Department Managers.
• Compiling weekly and monthly management reports & explaining deviation.
• Maintain production order process and reconcile raw material and packaging costs.
• Compile annual business plan, periodic forecasting and identifying risk opportunities.
• Assist with capital application and report on progress with capital expenditure.
• Inventory Management and reconcile stock accounts.
• Drive to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
• Perform financial and commercial finance project support.

THE CANDIDATE

The ideal candidates should have:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting & finance, essential.
• CIMA or Honours Management Accounting qualification (completed or in progress preferred).
• 3–5 years’ experience in management accounting or costing in an FMCG environment.
• Excel & SAP experience is a prerequisite with interest in upcoming projects SAP4 HANA.
• Strong analytical and financial modelling capability.
• Be a self-driven person who can produce neat and accurate work with minimum supervision.
• Must be trustworthy with good communication and interpersonal skills.
