Position: Internal Audit Officer
Purpose of the Position
To assist RENAC and its subsidiaries in achieving their objectives by applying a systematic and disciplined approach to evaluate and improve governance, risk management, and internal control processes.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Internal Audit
- Conduct audits to assess governance, risk management, and control processes
- Provide independent advice and assurance on compliance and internal controls
- Examine evidence to support assessments for the Board Finance, Audit and Risk Committee and management
- Conduct investigations and complete assigned tasks diligently
- Prepare draft audit reports and address review comments
- Ensure compliance with IPPF and Internal Audit Charter
- Manage stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assignments
- Conduct follow-up audits on implementation of recommendations
- Engage in continuous professional development
- Contribute to internal audit scope and annual audit/risk plans
Risk Management
- Assist in developing risk registers across departments and subsidiaries
- Support embedding a risk management culture
- Maintain and update risk registers with emerging risks
- Follow up on implementation of risk mitigation measures
- Update risk profiles and prepare reports

- Timely execution of audit and risk management plans

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Internal Auditing, Finance, or related field
- Studying towards CIA, CA(SA), or ACCA
- IT Audit qualification is an added advantage
Experience
- Completed articles with a reputable audit firm
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in internal auditing or leading external audit engagements
- Experience in risk assessments
- Aviation industry or IT audit experience is an added advantage
