COMMUNICATIONS AND STAKEHOLDER OFFICER


Overview

The Eswatini Energy Regulatory Authority (ESERA) seeks to recruit a suitably qualified and results-oriented individual for the position of Communications and Stakeholder Officer.

Reports to: Communications and Stakeholder Manager


Key Responsibilities

  • Implement communications and stakeholder engagement strategies and policies
  • Develop and disseminate communication content across print, digital, and social media platforms
  • Support public relations activities (media engagement, press briefings, media monitoring)
  • Manage and update ESERA’s website and social media platforms
  • Develop multimedia content (graphics, infographics, visuals) using tools like Canva
  • Ensure consistent branding and corporate identity across all materials and events
  • Support photography and videography for ESERA activities
  • Promote consumer education and public awareness on electricity and petroleum regulation
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagements, consultations, and outreach programmes
  • Track and report on customer complaints and stakeholder interactions
  • Compile stakeholder and consumer reports for management
  • Support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives

Qualifications and Competencies

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in corporate communications/corporate affairs
  • At least 3 years at senior level
  • Valid driver’s licence

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong media writing (traditional and social media) and media relations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong marketing communication, events management, and brand management skills
  • Experience in social media and website management
  • Design, content production, photography, and videography skills
  • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
  • Experience with email marketing tools and Canva (advantageous)
  • Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision
  • Results-oriented with strong interpersonal skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
