1. ABOUT MANGETHE GROUP

2. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Tyre Fitter will be responsible for the inspection, fitting, repair, and maintenance of tyres on heavy plant, trucks, and light vehicles to ensure safe operation, maximum tyre life, and optimal equipment availability.
3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will carry out tyre fitting, removal, repair, balancing, and rotation for all company vehicles and heavy equipment. The role includes inspecting tyres for wear, damage, and pressure compliance, as well as ensuring correct installation and safety standards are maintained at all times.
The Tyre Fitter will also support breakdown response services in the field, maintain tyre records, and ensure proper handling, storage, and control of tyres and related consumables. Strict adherence to SHEQ standards, including safe lifting practices and PPE usage, is mandatory.
4. EQUIPMENT EXPOSURE
Heavy earthmoving equipment, tipper trucks, loaders, graders, rollers, water bowsers, and light vehicles etc.
5. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must possess the following:
- Certificate in Tyre Fitting
- Basic Automotive Mechanics will be an added advantage
- Computer literacy is an added advantage
- Driver’s licence will also be an added advantage
A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in tyre fitting within construction, mining, or transport environments is required. A valid driver’s licence will be an added advantage.
