ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a driven and disciplined Sales Representative to grow our customer base and drive profitable sales across the pharmaceutical and medical sector.
This role combines telesales and field work, requiring strong communication, consistency, and relationship-building skills.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Drive sales and profitability across assigned customers
- Achieve individual sales targets
- Promote and sell the full product range
- Actively generate sales opportunities and drive demand, rather than simply processing orders
Telesales & Customer Engagement
- Manage daily telesales activities and customer calls
- Process orders, follow up on quotes, and close sales
- Proactively engage customers to increase order value and frequency
- Maintain consistent communication with customers
Field Work & Market Coverage
- Visit customers regularly
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Ensure effective coverage of assigned territory
Business Development
- Identify and onboard new customers
- Grow existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling
- Identify opportunities within the market
Product Promotion & Marketing
- Promote key product lines and specials
- Support product launches and campaigns
- Educate customers on products and usage
Stock & Sales Alignment
- Monitor customer demand and ordering patterns
- Promote available stock, including slow-moving items
- Communicate stock requirements and shortages
Reporting & Administration
- Maintain accurate sales records and reporting
- Log customer interactions and feedback
- Track orders, backorders, and follow-ups
- Use internal systems effectively (e.g. Sage Evolution or similar)
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical and/or medical sales
- Solid background in the pharmaceutical or medical supplies industry, with preference for wholesale experience
- A relevant qualification in healthcare, sales, or business will be an advantage
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working across telesales and field-based sales
- Self-motivated, disciplined, and target-driven
- Strong organisational and time management ability
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Valid driver’s licence
