Job Description
The Materials Handler is responsible for ensuring that the materials and supplies are available when needed and that they are properly managed. the materials handler helps to ensure the smooth operation of the EWSC and its ability to meet its goals and is accountable for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and supplies in a safe and efficient manner. The materials handler is also responsible for maintaining inventory records and ensuring that the materials are properly labelled and identified and promoting an enabling delivery environment for EWSC to become a high-performing organization whereby material handling practices and decisions are aligned with the EWSC vision, mission, and values.

Required Competencies
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, and procedures of the receipt, warehousing, and distribution of inventory.
- Demonstrated ability in materials handling warehousing and distribution operation for EWSC.
- Understanding the relationship between products, accessories and spare parts that we offer to inform inventory related decisions
- Sound knowledge of best practices with regards to supply management processes.
- Good business English is essential.
- Analytical skills
- Working knowledge of ERP systems would be and added advantage
Job Requirements
Educational Qualification
- Certificate in Business Management, or Logistics and valid material handling equipment licenses
Experience
- 2 years’ working experience in inventory control, logistics management or procurement
