Dispatch and Logistics Manager

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB

A Dispatch and Logistics Manager ensures efficient and cost-effective transportation and delivery of goods by coordinating routes, managing inventory, and overseeing fleet operations. They act as a liaison between suppliers, customers, and internal teams to address issues and optimize performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in dispatch and logistics management or a similar role.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in logistics software.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate and collaborate with various stakeholders.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day dispatch activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics processes, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth operations.
• Track and manage inventory to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
• Lead, train, and support the dispatch and logistics team to achieve operational excellence.
• Evaluate logistics performance metrics and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure all logistics operations comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
