QUALITY ASSURANCE OFFICER

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Location: IDM Eswatini Campus

The Institute of Development Management (IDM) invites applications from suitably qualified, competent, and highly motivated individuals for the position of Quality Assurance Officer, based at the Eswatini Campus.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Institute’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with institutional policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards. The role contributes to programme accreditation processes, institutional reviews, quality monitoring, and promotes a culture of continuous improvement and evidence-based decision-making.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the institutional Quality Management System (QMS).
Maintain quality assurance documentation, records, and audit trails, and assist with internal and external audits.
Support accreditation processes, regulatory compliance, and maintain programme approval and compliance records.
Liaise with academic and administrative departments to collect and manage quality-related information.
Assist in quality training and awareness initiatives to promote a culture of continuous improvement.
Collect, analyse, and report on institutional performance data, and support implementation of improvement plans.
Provide operational and administrative support to the Quality Assurance Manager and perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Quality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in quality assurance, accreditation, compliance, or institutional effectiveness.
Experience within higher education or vocational education environments.
Familiarity with regulatory and accreditation processes.
Training or experience in quality management systems or auditing will be an added advantage.
KEY COMPETENCIES
Strong knowledge of higher education quality standards and accreditation processes.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and report-writing skills.
Strong project management and coordination abilities.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in IT applications, data analysis tools, and emerging technologies including AI.
