EXTERNAL ADVERT – TRAINEE SHUNTER

Eswatini Railways, a Category A parastatal, is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Loliwe team. Applications are invited for the position of Trainee Shunter, reporting directly to the Loco Superintendent.

Role Overview

To admit, marshal, dispatch trains and shunt all wagons as required daily. To assist train movement locally.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all shunting operations in all stations correctly, safely and on time by coupling the locomotive to the wagons

• Work as train assistants in the branch lines

• Prepare all the necessary train documents

• Plan activities in accordance with requirements of the planning office, communicate such plans to Shunters and monitor execution

• Plan the yard and monitor staff during shift

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, Logistics or equivalent

• Minimum 1 year experience

• Driver’s licence (an added advantage)
