The Job

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for appointment to the above-mentioned position that has arisen in the company reporting to the Irrigation Civils Foreman.

The position is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining piping systems that supply water for agricultural irrigation.

Key Performance Areas

• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications related to irrigation piping system.
• Install, assembles, and secure pipes, fittings, and related equipment according to project requirements.
• Perform maintenance, repairs, and replacements of existing irrigation pipelines.
• Measure, cut, tread, bend and fit pipes according to specifications using hand and power tools.
• Conduct site inspection of existing pipe systems, replace or repair faulty components and ensure system operate safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and use of correct PPE.
• Enforce Continuous Improvement as a way of life through adoption of best practices, manage subordinates and nurture teamwork culture.
• Promote and adheres to Company procedures, policies and guidelines, including, without limitation, those relating to SHERQ, Competition Law and Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC).

Job Requirements

• Minimum O’ Level or equivalent.
• Grade 1 Plumbing/pipe fitting certificate from DIVT (ECOT) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of irrigation systems, agricultural practices, and water management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, good communication and teamwork abilities.
• 5 years proven working experience in similar position.
• Should be self-motivated and be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to work in field conditions.
