HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
The Eswatini Observer Group of Newspapers seeks to appoint a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Officer to be based at its Head Office.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Officer will lead the implementation of progressive HR practices, ensuring effective people management, compliance, talent development, and a positive employee experience that supports organizational performance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage HR operations, policies, systems, and employee records

Ensure compliance with labour legislation and corporate governance standards

Lead employee and industrial relations, including disciplinary and grievance processes

Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and training initiatives
-
Drive employee engagement, wellness, retention, and succession planning strategies

Provide HR advisory support to management and employees
-
Prepare and present periodic HR reports to Management
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Law, Industrial Relations, or related field

Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
-
Minimum of five (5) years’ HR experience, with at least three (3) years in a unionized environment

Strong knowledge of labour legislation and HR best practices
-
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
-
Proficiency in HR information systems and strategic HR implementation
