IT OFFICER SYSTEM DEVELOPER / ANALYST
Eswatini Royal Insurance Corporation seeks to recruit a qualified and experienced IT Officer, System Developer / Analyst.

Job Purpose: To provide a link between ESRIC’s Information Technology capabilities and the business objectives whilst performing health checks on ESRIC systems and processes. To advise on financial saving measures. To make business processes efficient and effective and deliver the organisation’s business systems’ reports for management decision making.

Key Responsibilities (Duties):

  • Analyse business requirements and translate them into system solutions
  • Implement, configure, test, and support ESRIC business systems and applications
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, user manuals, and operating procedures
  • Participate in system testing, upgrades, and workflow validation activities
  • Produce system and operational reports to support management decision-making
  • Identify and recommend system-based process improvements
  • Provide daily system support and user training on system changes
  • Liaise with internal users and approved external service providers
  • Ensure solutions comply with approved IT policies, procedures, and standards
  • Escalate complex or high-risk issues to senior IT staff when required

Minimum Desired Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering from a recognised institution
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in systems analysis, application development, or enterprise system support
  • A high competency and practical experience in using modern tools for system development, databases and reporting tools

Key Competencies:

  • Analytical thinking and strong attention to detail
  • Software, programming, analysis, design and maintenance
  • Ability to apply ICT in solving business problems
  • Knowledge of IT risk, security, and compliance principles
  • High levels of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
  • Process design and improvement
  • Database implementation and operational support skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work with people at all levels
