POSITION: IT SUPPORT MANAGER

The University seeks a highly skilled and motivated IT Support Manager to oversee ICT support services, ensure optimal performance of IT infrastructure, and provide strategic leadership in service delivery and digital support.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in ICT related roles.
• Minimum of 2–3 years supervisory or managerial experience.
• Strong knowledge of networks, operating systems, hardware, and IT service management.
• Experience managing help desk systems and ICT support teams.


ADDED ADVANTAGE

• Master’s degree in ICT, Information Systems, or related field.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL, CompTIA A+/N+, CCNA, Microsoft Certifications.
• Experience in a university or education-sector ICT environment.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and data protection regulations.
• Experience with ERP systems, learning management systems (LMS), and virtual learning technologies.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to Campus Director – The purpose of the IT Support Manager is to provide leadership and oversight for all ICT support services within the institution.

• IT Service Management.
• Infrastructure & Systems Support.
• Team Leadership.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance.
• ICT Planning & Reporting.
• Stakeholder Engagement.


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Cybersecurity & Compliance, ICT Planning & Reporting, Stakeholder Engagement.
• Customer-service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• High ethical standards and attention to detail.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
