POSITION: REGISTRY MANAGER

The university invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Registry Manager. This role is critical in ensuring efficient academic administration and the integrity of student records in alignment with institutional policies and national higher education standards.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION

• Master’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Higher Education Management, Information/Records Management, Social Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in academic administration or a similar environment.
• Minimum three (3) years in a supervisory or managerial experience.


ADDED ADVANTAGE

• Professional training in records management, student information systems, or quality assurance.
• Experience with university student management systems.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reporting to the Campus Director. The purpose of the job is to provide registry support services management and academics. The incumbent will also be responsible for ICT support.
• Managing all registry administration functions including admissions, registration, examinations, graduation, and student records management.
• Ensuring accuracy, security, and compliance of all student academic records.
• Coordinating the development, interpretation, and implementation of academic regulations and policies.
• Overseeing the preparation of transcripts, statements of results, certificates, and graduation documentation.
• Supervising and developing the Registry staff team to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Producing enrolment, graduation, and compliance reports for management and regulatory bodies.
• Working closely with faculties and administrative departments to support academic operations.
• Ensuring adherence to data protection laws, quality assurance standards, and national accreditation requirements.


SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Strong organizational and administrative abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong knowledge of academic regulations, university governance, and data protection requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight academic timelines.
• Leadership and team management capability.
• High ethical standards and strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office and student information systems.
