NETWORK AND SECURITY ADMINISTRATOR

The Institute of Development Management (IDM) invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Network and Security Administrator, based at the Eswatini Campus.

The role is responsible for the administration, security, and performance of IDM’s ICT infrastructure. The successful candidate will ensure reliable, secure, and compliant network operations in support of the Institution’s teaching, learning, and digitization objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Install, configure, and maintain network devices, firewalls, and servers.

• Administer Active Directory, Office 365 tenant services, and endpoint protection systems.

• Monitor and optimize network performance using enterprise tools.

• Implement and enforce security policies, firewall rules, VLANs, and data protection measures.

• Provide advanced user support and manage role-based access controls.

• Conduct routine upgrades, patch management, and system hardening.

• Document infrastructure, incidents, and ensure audit readiness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA, Fortinet NSE, CompTIA Security+, etc.) will be an added advantage.

• Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant experience in networking and information security.

• Experience using ERP systems will be an added advantage.

KEY COMPETENCIES

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, Windows Server, and virtualization.

• Strong knowledge of firewalls, switches/routers, VPNs, and endpoint security.

• Familiarity with IDS/IPS, SIEM tools, and backup solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills.

• High ethical standards and ability to work under pressure.
