Career Opportunity: Artisan Electrician (Requisition ID: 15863)

Main Purpose of the Job

To carry out installations, maintenance, modifications, and repairs on Estate electrical equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operation.


Minimum Education, Training & Experience Requirements

  • O’ Level or equivalent certificate

  • N4 Electrical Engineering, SCOT Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification

  • Completed Apprenticeship in Electrical Trade

  • DIVT Grade 1 Trade Test Certificate or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience

  • Knowledge of electrical & mechanical machinery

  • Knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, soft starters, star–delta, DOL, and electrical control systems

  • Knowledge of HT switchgear (OCBs, VCBs, SF6 breakers)

  • Basic understanding of process instrumentation (added advantage)

  • Valid light-duty vehicle driver’s license


Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities

  • Maintain electrical installations and equipment in a heavy industrial environment

  • Install and maintain electrical overhead lines up to 33 kV

  • Perform fault-finding, installation, and repairs of electrical equipment

  • Maintain medium and high-voltage switchgear

  • Install, inspect, and maintain Ex-rated installations

  • Develop and mentor subordinates, including apprentices

  • Perform standby duties as required

  • Contribute to all IMS initiatives

Main Purpose of the Job

To provide comprehensive nursing care, patient assessment, treatment, and support services in line with health care standards and organizational requirements.


Minimum Education, Training & Experience Requirements

  • General Nursing Diploma/Degree

  • Registered Midwife

  • Certificate in Diagnostic Nursing / Primary Health Care

  • Mental Health and Public Health qualifications are an added advantage

  • IMAI and NARTIS accredited

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a primary health care setting

  • Experience in supervision or team leadership

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and computer skills (advantage)

  • Completed Dispensing Course (added advantage)


Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities

  • Assessment, treatment, and/or referral of out-patients

  • Provide nursing care to in-patients

  • Provide care for pregnant women, including ANC/PMTCT (LAPLLA)

  • Offer Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH) services

  • Pre-Anti-Retroviral Therapy services

  • Initiate ART/TB, monitor treatment, and promote preventative healthcare

  • Monitor and evaluate Pre-ART and ART clients; compile treatment statistics

  • Coordinate and participate in HIV awareness sessions

  • Educate, counsel, and provide family health services, including:

    • VIA

    • Jadelle insertion

    • IUCD insertion

  • Attend to emergency duties and conduct emergency deliveries

  • Provide child healthcare, including immunizations and management of exposed infants

  • Ensure infection prevention and control

  • Uphold and contribute to IMS initiatives
