Main Purpose of the Job
To carry out installations, maintenance, modifications, and repairs on Estate electrical equipment to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
Minimum Education, Training & Experience Requirements
-
O’ Level or equivalent certificate
-
N4 Electrical Engineering, SCOT Diploma in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
-
Completed Apprenticeship in Electrical Trade
-
DIVT Grade 1 Trade Test Certificate or equivalent
-
Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience
-
Knowledge of electrical & mechanical machinery
-
Knowledge of PLCs, VSDs, soft starters, star–delta, DOL, and electrical control systems
-
Knowledge of HT switchgear (OCBs, VCBs, SF6 breakers)
-
Basic understanding of process instrumentation (added advantage)
-
Valid light-duty vehicle driver’s license
Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities
-
Maintain electrical installations and equipment in a heavy industrial environment
-
Install and maintain electrical overhead lines up to 33 kV
-
Perform fault-finding, installation, and repairs of electrical equipment
-
Maintain medium and high-voltage switchgear
-
Install, inspect, and maintain Ex-rated installations
-
Develop and mentor subordinates, including apprentices
-
Perform standby duties as required
-
Contribute to all IMS initiatives

Key Performance Areas & Responsibilities

Assessment, treatment, and/or referral of out-patients

Provide nursing care to in-patients

Provide care for pregnant women, including ANC/PMTCT (LAPLLA)

Offer Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH) services
-
Pre-Anti-Retroviral Therapy services
-
Initiate ART/TB, monitor treatment, and promote preventative healthcare
-
Monitor and evaluate Pre-ART and ART clients; compile treatment statistics

Coordinate and participate in HIV awareness sessions
-
Educate, counsel, and provide family health services, including:

VIA

Jadelle insertion
-
IUCD insertion

Attend to emergency duties and conduct emergency deliveries

Provide child healthcare, including immunizations and management of exposed infants

Ensure infection prevention and control
